About the HEAL charity

Now in its 19th year, HEAL - a UK registered charity – is committed to providing shelter, support, education and healthcare for needy children. As a small charity we are committed to ensuring that your donations are not wasted on administrative costs, such as advertising and salaries. We achieve this because we have no administrative office and no paid administrative staff.
All staff involved in the administration of HEAL are volunteers, so all money raised can be used effectively for the benefit of children in need.
HEAL currently has a number of projects including the Heal Children's Village in Guntur and our Poverty Trap scheme. Through these projects HEAL is working hard to provide homes, food, education and medical care for over 1,000 orphaned and underprivileged children in Andhra Pradesh, India.
Heal UK is the fundraising arm of the charity, but the real hard work is undertaken by the trustees and staff of Heal India where all our good work is undertaken. We have also recently added Heal USA as a further fundraising arm of the organisation.
We are committed to expanding over the coming years with further projects, with the aim of helping up to 10,000 children escape the poverty trap by 2015. Our aim is to provide Health and Education for All.
