How to sponsor a child
...from infancy to self sufficiency
Child sponsorship is a wonderful way to bring hope and change to a child living in poverty. Heal has three levels of child sponsorship:
Heal Residential Sponsorship
For just £12.50 per month through child sponsorship you could provide an orphaned child in India an education, accommodation, enough food, healthcare, clean water and help the child's whole community access the opportunities they need to change their future, for good.
We currently only have around two thirds of our children at the Heal Village in Guntur sponsored so we are keen to find more sponsors, which is the lifeblood of our charity. For more information about Heal Residential Sponsorship please click here.
Poverty Trap Sponsorship
Heal is currently rapidly developing its Poverty Trap Project which involves supporting existing schools to provide more children from very underprivileged backgrounds with an education. Heal believes that only through education can children avoid the cycle of poverty in India. There are currently very few of our Poverty Trap children being sponsored, so we are keen to find new sponsors.
For just £7.50 per month you can sponsor a child at one of our Poverty Trap projects. Your sponsorship will pay for a school uniform, books, stationary, a midday meal and a contribution towards the teaching staff. For more information about Poverty Trap Sponsorship please click here.
Higher Education Sponsorship
Many of the children in Heal’s care, who are growing up to become young students, would like to go on to Further Education in order to help secure their future.
Teachers within the Children’s Village School assess those pupils who they believe are capable of going on to successfully further their education. Currently, the Further Education budget is £12,000 per annum and this is likely to grow as the charity expands.
For £48 per month you can sponsor a student's education for 1-3 years at a higher educational facility.
If you would like to sponsor one of our children please download our form on the Sponsor A Child page or send a quick request to Kath Bardell, our sponsorship secretary, who will contact you and explain the process.
Thank You.
