HEAL UK – 11th Anniversary – Huge Success (Nov 2003)

A Garden Party set in the beautiful grounds of Butts Croft House, Corley, Coventry, was the venue for this year’s annual event on Sunday 13th July 2003.

A perfect setting, blue skies lots of sunshine, plenty of shade, where supporters, sponsors, friends old and new gathered together for a very pleasant relaxing afternoon.

The Deputy Mayor and Mayoress of North Warwickshire, Cllr.Gordon Sherratt and Mrs Marina Sherratt were in attendance from lunch onwards.

Following a delicious lunch of Indian and English food, Martin Church entertained us as an auctioneer, selling off 4 items making a total of £245. Thank you Martin for a splendid effort.

A raffle raised the sum of £176. Thank you Viv for selling tickets. We are grateful to all who gave the prizes, making this effort such a success.

Name the Doll – raised £57.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the fun and supported our worthwhile cause, in particular those who donated gifts for the auction, the Raffle and the Doll.

A special thank you to Barbara and John Fellows, Barbara McCoy and helpers at the Corley end who worked tirelessly in the background to make it such a great success. For Usha and her friends who provided the Indian food.

I am delighted to report that we raised £1,918.25 for Heal. In addition the treasurer will be able to claim a further £230 by way of tax rebate from the donations where a Gift Aid declaration is held.
