The following video was filmed on a recent visit to the Ankita Children’s Home by directors of Heal UK, and includes
some of the directors of Heal India.
The gardens are well cared for by Dr Manga Devi!





The original home donated to the charity by Dr Prasad in 1992

Ankita is home to 16 children, 4 boys and 12 girls, all these older children having finished High School, are continuing with further educational studies, some going on to college.

Five years ago, Urmila (8 yrs. old)  a disabled girl was "dumped" by her parents at the Government General Hospital,( her parents could not cope with her) A Paediatric Surgeon handed her over to HEAL Village. Now she is a normal healthy happy young  girl enjoying a new lease of life at Ankita, her home.
