ASNRAZPH School in Kanuru
Heal has recently agreed to help support the ASNRAZPH School in Kanuru, Vijayawada following a number of visits by Dr Prasad, Dr Indira Rani (a long time supporter of Heal), Bhavani and the trustees of Heal India. They were all very impressed with the hard work of the existing team who have been operating with limited resources.
As from June 2009, Heal India will work alongside the existing benefactor Mr Anne Siva Nageswara Rao, school staff and the Government to help improve the facilities and educational standards at the school. The school currently is lacking in library books, and many of the classes have 60 or more children in them. A new computer lab has been created and a new teacher has been appointed.
As you can see from the image above the School is in need of refurbishment. Heal is looking forward to helping fund better standards at this school, and with three new classrooms to be built, we are hoping to educate more children from underpriviliged backgrounds.
